Photovoltaic system doesn’t generate power. Unit draws power from power grid and works as a common high-efficiency inverter centrifugal chiller.
Pure photovoltaic mode
Unit doesn’t work. Photovoltaic system supplies its entire power to power grid. Unit acts as a converter and the whole system is equal to a photovoltaic power station.
Photovoltaic air conditioning mode
Power generated by photovoltaic system is equal to the power consumed by the air conditioning unit, so that the entire power generated by the photovoltaic system is used for air conditioning.
Photovoltaic air conditioning & power generation mode
When power generated by photovoltaic system is larger than the power consumed by the air conditioning unit, some of the power generated by the photovoltaic system is used for air conditioning while the excess power is supplied to power grid.
Photovoltaic air conditioning & power consumption mode
When power generated by photovoltaic system is smaller than the power consumed by the air conditioning unit, unit has to draw power from power grid in addition to the photovoltaic system.
Utilization ratio of photovoltaic power is up to 99%. Compared to the general solution combining grid-connected photovoltaic system and air conditioning system, system efficiency is improved by 6%~8%. The switch between power generation and power consumption takes less than 10ms. It is identified as world leading by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology.
UK RAC International Achievement Award of the Year
Gree Photovoltaic Direct-driven Inverter Centrifugal Chiller took the UK RAC International Achievement Award of the Year on September 23, 2015. This is the first time that a UK RAC award was awarded to a Chinese air conditioning product.
